GSA Image Analyser 3.7.0

GSA Image Analyser Editor's Review

The "GSA Image Analyzer" is a program that analyzes 2D images and pictures of any kind.
So far so good. This application can recognize and count objects (like algorithms from Buerker, Fuchs-Rosenthal, Thoma, Schilling, Tuerk, Tennant) in an image as well as calculate the distance and areas in it, therefore it was rather created for research purposes (biometry) then for home use.

The interface is poor and awkward, and every time you open the application you may need to select the language, again and again. There are two main windows, one that shows the image you have opened/imported, and the other that presents the color distribution in an RGB chart which you can view in 2D or 3D. You can zoom in or out an image, rotate, filter, measure distances, cut and paste, although you cannot select what to cut, and there are other options not accessible in demo version.

Pluses:

Drawbacks / flaws: The cut option works funny and the program doesn't remember the language you have previously chosen.

In conclusion: An expensive application, created for special purposes.

version reviewed: 2.6.2
